7 Self-Made Internet Millionnaires Under 25 Years Old

In a world powered by the internet, it’s not surprising that the majority of the world’s richest people have gained their wealth from an online business. What is surprising it the amount of multi-millionaires that earn money while still teenagers. For example, myYearbook creators Catherine and David cook were only 17 and 19 when they launched the site, causing them to have a net worth of approximately $10 million. Ashley Qualls, founder of Whateverlife, was worth $4 million, though she was only 17 years old and considered this relatively easy money. Mark Zuckerberg, founder and creator of the social networking site Facebook was worth an outstanding $700 million, though he was just 23. Below is a list of seven people, some mentioned above, who gained their fortunes by making money online before reaching the age of 25.

#7  David and Catherin Cook

David and Catherin Cook

This brother/sister duo hit it rich rather quickly when they founded the social networking site for high schoolers, myyearbook.com, in 2005 when they were both in their late teens. Starting with an initial investment of extra income from their older brother Goeff of $250,000, they brought the old-fashioned yearbook setup to the digital age. Since merging with Quepasa, their website has been able to grow its worth to near $100 million from the advertising revenue generated by users. Individually, each is worth more than $30 million. Talk about true financial freedom!
